DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Release Date) - He recently collected his tenth series championship, first with the American Speed Association. He also has been a national champion and got to fly with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds flight team. But now, Steve Carlson will take his first overseas flight to compete in the American Speed Association Transcontinental Series FreeState 500 on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Phakisa Freeway Circuit oval in Welkom, Free State South Africa.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Friday, November 6, 2009) - Four American Speed Associations Member Tracks will be honoring their 2009 champions this weekend. Congratulations to the champions at Wilmot Raceway, Dells Raceway Park, Illiana Motor Speedway, and Meridian Speedway.

WILMOT RACEWAY - will host their post season party on Friday, November 6th at the McHenry (IL) VFW Post #4600. ASA Division Champions; Todd Daun - 410 Sprint, Scott Kuxhouse - Modified, Tom Brown - 1200 Mini Sprint, Andy Gross - Street Stock, and Ryan Andrews - Fearless 4 will be honored. Wilmot Raceway (formerly known as Wilmot Speedway) located on the Kenosha (WI) County Fairgrounds completed its first year of operation under the promotion of the Kenosha County Fair. BURLINGTON, WI (Monday, November 2, 2009) - Last week the American Speed Assocation Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment along with ASAMT Touring Star Kyle Calmes and his Thrive to Drive Motorsports team spent the day with college students from Skills USA and the Wisconsin Marketing & Managment Association at the Hotel Sierra in Green Bay, WI. The purpose was to meet with the students and give them the opportunity to get up close with an ASAMT super late model and talk about marketing in motorsports.

Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice-president joined Kyle Calmes, Hank Calmes and Brian Sollars of Thrive to Drive Motorsports met with members of Skills USA which gave them the opportunity to get up close with an ASAMT super late model stock car.
